Nightingale - Pattern Tester Quilts, Quilt Kits & Inspiration
As always, this is my favorite blog post to write for pattern releases! Pattern testers are essential to what I do. Not only do they give me feedback about the pattern, but they create beautiful quilts that are so so creative! Let's take a look at their creations, shall we?
.
First up, we have have Allison of @allison.ramsing ! She made a small throw Nightingale quilt that reminds me of a birthday cake. SO GOOD.
.
.
Next up, we have Jordan of @jordanandjoyco . She shared a really sweet story along with her quilt. Her grandmother was a nurse and a vintage sewing fashionista. Jordan shares more about this special lady on her Instagram feed and in her new blog post!
.
.
Next, is @katesmakesandcreates ! Katie always creates lovely quilts for my patterns....and this one did not disappoint. I love how she used a darker background and kept all of the smaller crosses a lighter color. Very pretty!
.
.
Brittany of @hopscotchcotton made this gorgeous quilt using mostly scraps from her stash. So awesome! I'm such a sucker for that pecan color that she used. And the scrappy background is genius.
.
Let's take a look at Liza of @lizataylorhandmade's Nightingale quilt. How dreamy is this?! First of all, lavender is my new favorite color, so I'm obviously obsessed with her quilt! And the simple, diagonal cross-hatch quilting pattern adds the perfect touch of "vintage"...I love it!
.
.
Claire of @thestitchsaloon created this sweet little baby quilt, which is just adorable! I love everything about it!
.
.
Next, we have this bright and summery Square Throw Nighitngale, made by Erin of @lovesewmodern. These colors are so bright and happy!
.
Claire of @claireandhercrafts made this Christmas-y small throw that is filled with the sweetest prints! Also, that straight-line quilting is PERFECTION.
.
.
Nicki of @wovenandwoolly always thinks outside the box with my patterns! For Nightingale, she made a Christmas table runner! Also, check out her Knitted Star pillow in the background!
.
Next up is Sarah's quilt from @stitchmodequilts ! She used a Fall Solids 1/2 yard bundle from our shop to make this gorgeous quilt. It's surprisingly Christmas-y and festive. I love it!

Quilt Kits
The following shops were not only pattern testers for Nightingale, but they made quilt kits from their sample! I'm always blown away by these....here we go!
First, we Elizabeth of Elizabeth Bolten Studio . Take a look at this soothing Nightingale quilt! I love the dark background and subtle tones. This is a Square Throw Quilt Kit. Gorgeous!
.
.
Next is Linli of Lamb & Loom....she's a fairly newer quilter and when she asked if I thought Nightingale would be a good fit for her, I said ABSOLUTELY. And there's no surprise that her quilt is GORGEOUS. This is also a Square Throw kit.
.
.
.
.
Next is Nuria of Fabric Stork! She always thinks outside the box and the results are always stunning! This quilt was no exception! this is a Square Throw kit.
.
.
.
Now lets look at Australia-based Scribbly Gum Co's beautiful Nightingale bundle! I just LOVE these playful fabrics! This is a Small Throw kit.
.
.
Last but not least is this beautiful 9-piece fat quarter bundle from Australia based The Stitch Saloon! Gorgeous!

Nightingale Inspiration
Here are some mock-ups of the pattern that I couldn't help but share!
.
Who else is excited for Maureen Cracknell's new Homebody colleciton?! It should be releasing any day now, and I loveeee how it looks in Nightingale. For the background, I thought AGF Sweet Macadamia would be nice. Since there are 16 fabrics in the collection, you could make a Square Throw, which would be 60" x 60".
.
Ya'll know how much I love Ruby Star Society's basics! How fun is this Speckled Large Throw Nightingale?! It totally gives off an 80s neon vibe and I'm here for it! I used ten 1/2 yards: Witchy, Berry, Strawberry, Daisy, Frost, Icebox, Citron, Sunshine, Cactus and Earth.
.
You might've seen my Christmas Nightingale quilt that I made a few weeks ago. I used our Griswold 20-piece fat quarter bundle and I love how it turned out! It's currently being quilted, so here's the mock-up.
.
I couldn't help but create a mock-up from one of my favorite collections of the year: Her & History. In the pattern, you'll see this mock-up with a scrappy background (which I LOVE), but here it is with a solids white background.
.
Lastly, here's a Small Throw using some of the new Luna & Laurel fabrics. We have a bundle for this in our shop! I might have to make this one!
