CONTENT DEVELOPER
Job Title: Content Developer
Role Type: Full-time employee, 40 hours/week
Role Location: This position is a virtual or in-person position at our studio in Black Mountain, North Carolina.
Role Offer: $25 - $30 per hour; based on skill set and level of experience.
Content Developer
The Content Developer is a marketing position that ensures all communication and content is high-quality, high-value, consistent and inspiring and meets specific objectives, such as engaging audiences, driving traffic, and promoting brand awareness. As a Content Developer, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing content for various digital platforms, including blogs, social media, Pinterest, ads and email newsletters. Your primary goal will be to produce high-quality, engaging content that aligns with the our objectives and resonates with our target audience.
Responsibilities Include:
- Content Development: Generate ideas for compelling content, collaborate with the CEO and Integrator, and write/revise copy that resonates with our community for a variety of platforms and formats, including our newsletter, social media accounts, and blog. This includes updating and refreshing archival material to maintain relevance and optimize for SEO, as well as repurposing existing content across multiple platforms.
- Content Strategy: Work with the CEO and Integrator to contribute to the development of content strategies aligned with organizational goals and audience preferences. Identify content opportunities based on audience insights, keyword research, and industry trends. Plan and schedule content calendars to ensure a consistent publishing cadence across platforms. Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, such as website traffic, engagement rates, and social media metrics, to optimize content strategies and tactics.
- Content Distribution and Promotion: Develop strategies to maximize the reach and impact of content through organic and paid distribution channels. Share content on social media platforms, forums, and online communities to increase visibility and engagement. Collaborate with CEO and Integrator to leverage partnerships, influencer collaborations, and guest posting opportunities for content promotion.
- Content Management: Maintain content repositories, including content management systems (CMS), document libraries, and asset databases. Ensure content accuracy, consistency, and compliance with brand guidelines and industry standards. Manage content updates, revisions, and archiving processes to keep information current and relevant.
- SEO and Keyword Optimization: Conduct keyword research to identify relevant topics and optimize content for search engines. Implement on-page SEO best practices, including meta tags, headers, and keyword placement. Stay updated on SEO trends and algorithm changes to ensure content remains optimized for visibility and ranking.
- Research and Innovation: Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and content creation tools, including AI developments. Experiment with new forms of content and technology to enhance the impact of our messaging.
Proficiencies and qualifications required:
- Proven experience as a content creator, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong writing, photography, video and multimedia content production skills. Strong ability to produce original ideas. Excellent writing, editing, proof reading and photography/videography skills with an unwavering attention to detail.

We are passionate about the art of quilting and our mission is to inspire, educate, empower and connect makers through captivating stories, helpful tutorials, and beautiful content. We believe in the power of creativity and the joy that comes from creating. As a Creative Contributor you will write inspiring and informative blog posts and tutorials that engage and empower our community. If you have a love for quilting, an eye for detail, and a passion for storytelling, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities Include:
- Write Engaging Blog Posts: Create original, well-researched, and inspiring blog posts that resonate with quilters/sewists of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced. Topics could include quilting techniques, tutorials, mini-projects, inspiration and tips & tricks.
- Create Inspiring Tutorials: Write easy-to-follow, step-by-step tutorials on a variety of quilting related topics. Tutorials should make readers feel confident in trying new things, whether it’s with their first quilt, a different technique or a fun mini-project.
- Passionate Quilter: You should have a deep love for quilting, with experience creating quilts, sewing projects, and crafting. Whether you’re a self-taught or have formal experience, your knowledge and enthusiasm for quilting is key.
- Quality Control: Ensure all content, both text and images, are on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice and optimized for search and user experience across all channels of content.
Proficiencies and qualifications required:
- Strong Writing & Photography Skills: Exceptional writing and photography skills with the ability to craft engaging, clear, and informative blog posts and tutorials. Experience writing for blogs or online content is preferred.
- Creative Vision: A knack for storytelling and the ability to inspire others through your writing and photography. You should be able to capture the joy, artistry, and satisfaction that quilting brings to people’s lives.
- Experience with Quilting Techniques: A solid understanding of quilting techniques, terminology, and tools. This includes both traditional and modern quilting approaches.
- Attention to Detail: You take pride in your work, ensuring that each blog post is well-researched, accurate, and beautifully presented.

Job Title: Production Specialist

Production Specialist
We are hiring a Production Specialist to work in person, in our studio and fulfillment center located in Black Mountain, North Carolina. The Production Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate production of our customer's orders helping to create an exceptional customer experience. This position involves facilitating the end-to-end product creation process from cutting fabrics to assembling kits and bundles. This position may also assit in filling, packing and shipping orders as needed all while maintaining a keen eye for detail, quality control and safety.
The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, a passion for quilting, sewing or related fiber arts and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Cut/Assemble Quilt Kits & Fabric Bundles: Prepare, cut and assemble a large variety of quilt kits and fabric bundles, ensuring that each one contains the correct amount and SKU of each fabric, kit card and other materials required for completion.
- Material Organization: Manage the organization of fabrics, threads, patterns, and other components needed for production. Ensure materials are neatly organized and labeled for easy access.
- Packaging: Ensure the packaging of all quilt kits and bundles are are neatly folded and packaged according to company standards and each products specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect materials (fabrics, patterns, etc.) for quality, ensuring there are no defects or discrepancies. Take action to resolve any issues following Standard Operating Procedures.
- Inventory Tracking: Keep accurate inventory records of all quilt kit materials (fabric, patterns, notions, etc.), tracking usage in inventory reporting.
- Efficient Processes: Work with the production team to streamline the quilt kit assembly process, reducing errors, improving efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality control.
- Troubleshooting: Address any challenges or issues that arise during the kit production process, whether related to materials, production flow, or packaging.
- Kit Inspection: Conduct final quality checks on assembled kits before they are shipped out to customers, ensuring that every kit is complete and meets the company's quality standards.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with the rest of the production team to ensure smooth operations and effective communication. Assist in order fulfillment when needed.
Proficiencies and qualifications required:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in product assembly.
- Familiarity with sewing products, terminology, and materials.
- Ability to work effectively and safely in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

QUILT SAMPLE SEWIST
Job Title: Quilt Sample Sewist
Role Type: Part-time employee, 20-25 hours/week

Quilt Sample Sewist
At Lo & Behold Stitchery, we are passionate about quilting, design and education, offering beautiful quilt patterns, courses and curating inspiring quilt kits and fabric bundles. We believe in the art of quilting and the stories that each quilt tells. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Quilt Sample Sewist to help bring our quilt designs to life by creating high-quality, detailed quilt samples for our pattern releases, educational courses, quilt kits and promotional content.
If you love creating quilts, have an attention for detail, and are passionate about bringing new designs into the world, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities Include:
- Sew Quilt Samples: Create quilt samples based on our library of patterns and the testing of new releases. This includes cutting, piecing, quilt top assembly, and binding the quilt to a high standard of quality and craftsmanship. Quilting is not included in sample sewing.
- Follow Pattern Specifications: Work closely with the CEO and Integrator to ensure that quilt samples match the patterns' specifications and intended style (including fabric choices, block placement, and overall design).
- Meet Deadlines: Deliver completed quilt samples within specified time frames, ensuring that all quilting projects are completed on schedule to meet marketing and product release timelines.
- Provide/Receive Feedback: Offer and welcome constructive feedback on instruction and reviews when necessary. If you encounter challenges during the sewing process, immediately communicate any issues or areas for improvement.
- Prepare Samples for Photography: Throughout the process and once quilts are completed, assist with preparing the quilts for photography, ensuring they are presented beautifully. This may include steaming, folding, or staging the quilts to highlight their features.
- Maintain Quality: Ensure that each quilt sample is sewn with attention to detail, including accurate seam allowances, crisp pressing, and proper finishing techniques.
- Occasional Revisions: Depending on the project, you may be asked to make revisions to quilts based on feedback from the team or final photography considerations.
Proficiencies and qualifications required:
- Experienced Quilter: Strong experience in cutting, piecing, quilt top assemble, and binding quilts. Must be comfortable with a wide variety of quilting techniques, including a consistent and accurate seam allowance, all triangle blocks, strip piecing, curves and working with templates.
- Ability to both receive/act on and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with designers on samples in progress.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong familiarity with sewing products, terminology, and materials.
- Ability to work effectively and safely in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and manage time effectively to ensure projects are completed within the required timeframe.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- Proficient computer skills and able to provide documentation/reporting on sample projects.
- Maintain equipment and a safe and tidy workspace.
