2022 Stocking Stuffer List
Hard to believe it’s that time of year again! I don’t know about you, but it feels like “Black Friday” Sales have been happening since mid-July and I still have so little Christmas shopping done! Nonetheless, one of my favorite things to shop for is stocking stuffers & from the number of people that read last year’s blog post…y’all do too! Time to go shopping. :)
Quilt Block Tees
I’ve fallen in love with Stephanie at Fancy that Design and all of the sweet things that she designs/creates. I gifted myself & my assistant (don’t worry, it was Kara, not Peter, hah) matching tees from her shop & ever since then I’ve had my eye on a few more! I love the sweet florals in this t-shirt & all of the colors offered in these Quilt Block Tees!
.
Quilt Block Magnets
Everything on The Olde Homestead Market Quilt Shop is darling, but these Quilt Block Magnets caught my eye! What a fun way to dress up your refrigerator, boring filing cabinet, or magnetic board. While you’re there, check out her cute tea towels & art made from vintage quilts! I love them!
.
Beginner Quilting Academy Gift Certificate
We’re so excited to be offering gift certificates for Beginner Quilting Academy this year! If you have someone that has been wanting to try their hand at quilting, this is the perfect gift! I teach the very basics (think: how to turn your sewing machine on) all the way to completing your first quilt! See all of the beautiful quilts our BQA students have made & read a few reviews yourself! Here's the link to purchase the admission gift card for you or a friend! Class kicks off Feb. 6th, 2023!
.
Quilt-y Stationary
Isn’t there just something special about stationary? The Pink Shoelaces Etsy Shop has the most darling quilty stationery set I’ve ever seen! In today’s digital world, I think stationary gets lost in our busy minds, but how fun is it to sit down and send a letter to a sweet friend. Or, if letter writing isn’t your thing, the notepad in this stationary set is the perfect way to think of quilting on your next trip to the grocery store. Just dreaming of quilts might cut your grocery bill in half so you can buy some more fabric for that stash!
.
Handmade Ornament
While I’m not one to DIY everything, these Moda Woven Star Oranaments take me back to my days of crafting with my granny :). This is something we would have done together after Thanksgiving when I was a young teenager, so I think this would be the sweetest craft to do with your older kids, friends, or family members visiting in town for the holidays! Or, you could add one as a little embellishment to your gifts this year. The possibilities are endless!
.
For those ornaments, let everyone dig through your scraps or make it easy on yourself & purchase some Bias Tape from Bessie Pearl! Other than that, the supplies needed are very minimal…no sewing skills required!
.
Quilt Block Cookie Cutters
I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve made sugar cookies, but these might have me convinced to pull out that rolling pin and get in the kitchen! As soon as I saw these quilty inspired cookie cutters from Quiltfolk, I knew they’d make the perfect gift for my sweet quilting friends!
.
Ruler Racks
I don't know about you, but I'm always looking for ways to better stay organized. It's been one year (this month!) since we moved and my sewing studio still isn't quite as functional as I know it could be. And a big reason why is because I'm majorly lacking organization; which is why I'm so intrigued by Cotton + Bourbon's new Ruler Racks! I've been so stumped over how to store my rulers and this is such a genius (and beautiful) idea!
.
Magnetic Needle/Pin Holders
When we were living in Raleigh, one of my favorite local quilt shops carried these beautiful Japanese notions and I regret not purchasing every time I think about them! I absolutely love the Cohana Hasami Magnetic Spool for holding needles. What a fun item to keep on the shelf or right near your sewing machine! They’ve also have a Magnetic Needle Holder with Sharpener that is so beautiful & practical! I may have to pick this one up for my own stocking!

.
Handmade Pottery
Handmade pottery from my FAVORITE local potter is a given for this list! Gretchen Quinn has made her way into the hearts of so many quilters in this community and it's no mystery why! I mean, look at these gorgeous, hand-carved designs. Some of them definitely remind me of quilting motifs! I have quite the collection of Gretchen Quinn mugs, plates and bowls. But if you're looking for an entry-level piece, I would start with a mug!

Design Wall
I recently started using a Fons & Porter design wall and it's been a much-welcomed change of pace from laying things out on the floors! If you have the wall space for a design wall, I think it's a total game changer! I have mine hanging by Command Hooks, which would be another great stocking stuffer!

.
Quilt Patterns
Our quilt patterns also make great stocking stuffers! We have over 20 patterns to choose from, so there's something for everyone! Unsure of which pattern the lucky recipient already owns? We have gift cards (that can also be used on fabric bundles)!
.
Notions
Last but not least, notions are always a welcomed addition to any quilter’s stocking! Some favorites amongst the Lo & Behold Quilting Community are a seam roller, hera marker (you can never have too many…its my most misplaced notion!), and diagonal seam tape! These notions definitely aren’t necessary for quilting, but they are some of the most helpful notions you didn’t know you needed!
And of course there's always thread! You can never have too much of it ... That and sewing needles!

Whether you’re shopping for your quilty best friend, a family member, or for yourself (we promise we won’t tell anyone), these are just a few things I love (or would love) in my stocking this year! Do you have a favorite notion, quilty gift, or handmade project you like to gift around the holidays? We would love to hear about it!
