Mosaic Star Quilt - the Woven version
Did you hear that the Mosaic Star quilt pattern is now available? This pattern has been in the works for several months now, so seeing it come to fruition is a long-time coming! The next sample that I want to share with you is a Baby size quilt that is just the sweetest! I actually picked out these fabrics with Kara, our Community Manager and Sara of Stitch Lab Quilting at our last Open House! We all put our heads together to choose two super dreamy wovens, along with the most perfect backing and binding choice. Keep scrolling!

We started with the Foreground and Background fabrics....they are Diamond Textiles KC 2959 (Background) and a Fabelism Sprout Woven (Oat) for the Foreground. Sara actually pieced this quilt top for me as she was testing out my math and cutting instructions. It was actually super convenient because then she quilted it as well using SUCH a fun and unique pantograph, Greta Garbo by Julie Hirt. It feels so 1920s "deco", which ya'll know I love!

Then for the backing, we picked out a fabric that is definitely high on my favorites list, Bluebells & Buttercup Lark by Bonnie Christine for Art Gallery Fabrics. I love the all-over design and various floral motifs paired with the perfect earthy tones. Yes, please!

We choose another Sprout Woven, Marsala, for the binding. I love that shade of pink! It's almost a purple but definitely acts like a pink in this quilt.
Overall, it was a fun little collaboration project. If you're looking for a quick weekend sew, the baby size Mosaic Star is a really great fit!

Happy Quilting!
